Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo for Sale — Pre-Owned Jumbo Extra-Thin Watches
The Royal Oak "Jumbo" Extra-Thin is the purest expression of Gérald Genta's 1972 design — the direct descendant of the original 5402ST, keeping the 39mm case, ultra-thin profile, hours-minutes-date-only layout with no seconds hand, and the "Petite Tapisserie" dial exclusive to the Jumbo line. The nickname dates to 1972, when 39mm was considered oversized. My Watch LLC carries pre-owned Jumbo references from the legendary 15202ST (2000–2022, powered by the caliber 2121) to the current 16202ST introduced for the Royal Oak's 50th anniversary with the in-house caliber 7121, 55-hour power reserve, and quick-set date, along with precious-metal 15202OR and 16202OR rose gold pieces.
The Jumbo commands the strongest collector demand of any Royal Oak sub-family — discontinued 15202 references have appreciated consistently since leaving production, and current 16202 models trade well above retail. Browse our full Audemars Piguet Royal Oak collection for Selfwinding 41mm, Chronograph, and Offshore models, or explore everything AP in our Audemars Piguet collection.
Every Jumbo we sell is authenticated in-house by our team, with box and papers noted on each listing. Visit our showroom by appointment, and every watch ships fully insured nationwide from our Oak Park, Michigan showroom via FedEx Hold for Pickup at your nearest FedEx location. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo FAQ
How much does a Royal Oak Jumbo cost?
Pre-owned steel Jumbo pricing typically runs $65,000–$85,000 for the 15202ST and 16202ST depending on year, dial, and set completeness. Rose gold, platinum, and ceramic references command significant premiums, and early 5402ST examples — especially A-Series serials — can exceed six figures at the collector level.
What is the difference between the 15202 and the 16202?
The 16202 replaced the 15202 in 2022 for the Royal Oak's 50th anniversary. The 15202 used the ultra-thin caliber 2121 (based on the JLC 920) with no quick-set date; the 16202 introduced AP's in-house caliber 7121 with a 55-hour power reserve, quick-set date, and a "50 Years" rotor on early production. Case dimensions stay at 39mm x 8.1mm, and both wear nearly identically on the wrist.
Why is it called the "Jumbo"?
When the original 5402ST debuted in 1972, its 39mm case was considered enormous for a luxury watch — hence "Jumbo." The name stuck and now specifically designates the two-hand-plus-date Extra-Thin models (5402, 15202, 16202), distinguishing them from the 41mm Selfwinding line.
Is the Royal Oak Jumbo a good investment?
The Jumbo has been among the strongest-performing modern watches, period. The 15202ST appreciated steadily through and after its 2022 discontinuation, and the 16202ST consistently trades far above its retail price. As with any watch, values fluctuate, but the Jumbo's heritage position and limited production have made it one of the most liquid high-end references we handle.
Is it safe to buy a used Royal Oak Jumbo online from My Watch LLC?
Yes. Every watch we sell goes through a rigorous multi-point inspection before it ever leaves our showroom — authentication by our in-house experts, timekeeping accuracy testing, and pressure testing to verify water resistance. That matters on a reference this heavily counterfeited. My Watch LLC is a Chrono24 Certified dealer, an eBay Top Rated Seller, and a trusted seller on Reddit's Rolex community, with over 800 five-star Google reviews and nearly 300 Trustpilot reviews. We're not just an online storefront — we operate a physical showroom in Oak Park, Michigan, and we're happy to hop on FaceTime or a video call to show you any timepiece in hand before you buy. Every order ships fully insured via FedEx Hold for Pickup at your nearest FedEx location, so your watch is never left on a doorstep. Questions? Call or text 248-422-0909.
